CONSULTATION

Sometimes clients have firm ideas for what they want in their garden, and sometimes their desires are more abstract. We will discuss and help to visualise ideas to kick the process off. Within our first consultation, we will obtain a detailed brief, understand the key design cues and discuss a timescale and budget for the project. We recommend that all interested parties are present at this meeting.

DESIGN BRIEF

Based on our initial consultation, we will produce a brief. This takes the form of a short document highlighting the discussed needs and desires for the garden, along with a mood board to demonstrate available styles. This document ensures that

SITE SURVEY

Upon agreement of the brief, we produce a full site survey. We will spend time in your garden recording not only the physical factors at play, but getting a feel for the space and understanding how it is to be used in the context of your needs and your home.

DETAILED DESIGN

We will then present you with 2D & 3D visualisations; either computer-generated, or hand drawn. These will work to communicate the detailed design produced for you by Bulb + Branch. In producing these designs, we will also be producing scale working documents which allow landscapers to understand and implement the project. This element of the design will include feature trees, shrubs and planting styles. We can also produce lighting, electrical and irrigation plans at this stage.

PROJECT BUILD

Bulb + Branch can then put the project out to tender, or work directly with one of our highly professional, trusted contractors. A full and fixed quote for the project build will be signed off before commencement. If the client just needs a design and would rather manage the project themselves, we can hand over documents at this stage.

PLANTING PLAN

This is the final design section. Plants are selected - according to the agreed brief - to match the theme and requirements, and to fit the space. An interactive planting plan will be handed over at this stage. We are also able to produce planting plans and advice for existing gardens.

PLANTING

Bulb + Branch will finish the project by planting according to the planting plan. We like to be involved in this as the finishing touch as it gives us the opportunity to see the project through and leave the garden clean and tidy, as well as answering any questions the client may have about maintenance - which we can also provide.
